I started going out with my dad fishing when I was just 18 months old. I would toss my snoopy “lure” over the side with my snoopy pole and say I got a big one daddy. From the age of 4 on I was always out fishing with my dad meat catching. It wasn’t until I was living in Oregon that I started to tournament fish. My first tournament was with my best friend at Ute lake in New Mexico. It was a charity tournament for the PVA (paralyzed Veterans of America) and despite the tournament being canceled after the first day I was hooked. I joined Cascade Bassmasters later that year and have been tournament fishing with them ever since. If you were to ask me what is my favorite lake to fish. Well I have three and they are all in Arizona. Arivaca lake, Roosevelt Lake and Picacho reservoir. All three were amazing places to fish growing up and I can’t actually count how many fish I caught at those lakes. Here in Oregon I would say my favorite lake by look and feel is Tahkenitch. I haven’t quite figured it out but I do enjoy fishing it. |
