Bass Battles 2020
Bass Battles was established as an individual, head to head, bracket style elimnation series started in 2017 by Bobby Brown and Art Ferreira. The concept was somewhat popular starting with the Oregon Coastal Series and continued with “Pilot” expansion the years following.
The standard format has become a full field “seeding event” with a single angler competing against the rest of the field for placement into the Round 1 bracket. Elimination rounds are held at various locations to challenge angler skills along with unpredictable “twists” being thrown in along the way. Once an angler survives the gauntlet and makes a championship, there is no doubt about the skills it took to get there.
Bass Battles Champion List:
2017 Coastal Series – Jeremy McKay
2018 Coastal Series – Jeremy McKay
2018 River Series – Jeff Reid
2018 Men’s Non-Boater – Joel Berukoff
2018 Women’s Non-Boater – Whitney KaDell
2019 Coastal Series – Ron Six
2019 River Series – Lane Olson
Bass Battles Season Four will continue with the standard head to head format in 2020 with a few changes. The first change is dropping affiliation with The Bass Federation. Anglers will no longer have a membership fee to fish any All Star Bass Fishing events. With the new Southern Series building on top of the already established Coastal Series and River Series, a Bass Battles Championship Series will replace the TBF Semifinal qualifications.
